RubyRepeat Privacy Policy

Applies to: the RubyRepeat iOS app and the rubyrepeat.com high-score leaderboard
The short version
RubyRepeat collects almost nothing. The app has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party services. The only information that ever leaves your device is a display name and score — and only if you choose to submit one to the public leaderboard.
What the app stores on your device
- Your sound on/off preference. It never leaves your device.
That's the complete list. Playing the game sends no data anywhere.
High score submission (optional)
If you choose to submit a score on the Game Over screen, the app sends your display name, score, and level to rubyrepeat.com over a secure connection. We publish these on the public leaderboard along with the date of submission. Anyone on the internet can see leaderboard entries, so choose a display name accordingly.
We do not collect email addresses, device identifiers, precise location, or anything else through the app.
Legacy browser submissions
Very old versions of RubyRepeat opened Safari to submit scores. Those legacy URLs still return a thank-you page, but those submissions are not stored on the modern leaderboard.
Website logs
Like nearly every website, our server temporarily records a hashed IP address of requests (including score submissions) to prevent abuse such as leaderboard spam. These records are cleared within 30 days and are never published or used for any other purpose.
Cookies and tracking
The site sets no tracking cookies and includes no third-party analytics or advertising scripts.
Children
RubyRepeat is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone; display names are free-text chosen by the player and are not required to identify anyone.
Removing a leaderboard entry
Want a submitted name and score taken down? Email support@rubyrepeat.com with the display name, score, and approximate date, and we'll remove the entry.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/EEA or California), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. The only personal information we could hold is a leaderboard entry — contact us at the address above and we'll honor removal requests regardless of where you live.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will be noted on the leaderboard page.
